2025 Womxn's History Month

March is Womxn’s History Month at 91. We dedicate this month to celebrating womxn’s contributions to history, culture and society. WHM has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987. This year, WHM will take place from Saturday, March 1 - Monday, March 31, 2025.

Mosaic Cross Cultural Center, in collaboration with the the Cesar Chavez Community Action Center (CCCAC) and Gender Equity Center, is excited to announce our first ever Femme Solidarity Open Mic Night in celebration of Womxn's History Month and Chávez, Huerta, & Itliong (CHI) Month! At this Open Mic, we are celebrating CHI Month by honoring the spirit of solidarity between farmworkers and civil rights activists of diverse backgrounds and Womxn's History Month by focusing on amplifying the voices and talents of woman and/or femme identified creatives!

Her Body, Her Voice: The Battle Against Forced Sterilizations

Her Body, Her Voice: The Battle Against Forced Sterilizations is an event shedding light on the injustices of forced sterilizations in California’s women’s prisons. Featuring a screening of Belly of the Beast, this event follows the stories of survivors and their fight for justice. After the documentary, attendees will briefly discuss the film’s impact and participate in an action-oriented activity to advocate for reproductive justice and support for survivors. Join us in honoring their voices, raising awareness, and driving meaningful change.

Whether you wear the hijab, are curious about it, or simply want to learn, this event welcomes all women to connect, reflect, and support one another.

This event, which is a part of our decolonizing feminism series, is meant to educate attendees about feminism in the Black community. It also creates an opportunity for attendees to relax with fun activities including a paint and sip station, and a collaborative affirmation board.
