Such programs typically match all or a percentage of employee contributions to charitable organizations, making the employer a partner in its employees' personal philanthropy. Many companies will also support charitable giving by employee's spouses, retirees, board members and others. Find out if your company will match your gift: You may also contact 91ΑΤΖζ at 408-924-1484 if you have questions about matching gifts.

Tribute Gifts

A gift in memory of someone special can help perpetuate the values and ideals that guide someone’s life. A gift in honor of someone commemorates a significant person or event. Stocks, Securities, Or Wire transfer

Gifts of appreciated securities, stocks, and bonds provide considerable tax advantages when transferred to 91ΑΤΖζ before they are sold. If you have held your securities for more than one year, you may find that your gift will provide a twofold tax benefit, creating an income tax deduction, as well as helping avoid the capital gains tax that would have been due on their sale.

Why We Give

Jim and Louise Dunaway
Jim and Louise Dunaway, '67

Jim Dunaway, ’67 Teaching Credential, worked as an industrial engineer before coming to San JosΓ©, where he realized teaching was his true calling. The Dunaways established a charitable remainder trust that will create endowed scholarships and awards for future math teachers at San JosΓ© State. β€œI hope that our scholarship recipients really love what they are doing and are encouraged to stay within the profession,” says Louise Dunaway. β€œWe need good teachers β€” we need dedicated people. I hope that the students feel validated for all their efforts and hard work.”
