LLD Student Awards
Each spring semester, the Department of Linguistics and Language Development recognizes its outstanding students through awards established in the names of faculty, alumni, and friends of the department. Current bequests include the Philip Cook Outstanding Student Award and the Charles Stewart Memorial Outstanding Student Award, both for graduate students; and the Doris Yankley Memorial Scholarship and the Martha Bean Memorial Scholarship, for both graduate and undergraduate students.
Award conferral comes after nomination or self-nomination, and there are specific criteria for each award. All students receive an email during the spring semester notifying them of the opportunity to apply.
To contribute to these scholarship funds, or to establish a scholarship fund in another name, please contact the Department of Linguistics main office or the 91ÁÔÆæ Foundation.
