Mosaic Cross Cultural Center is seeking passionate, dedicated, community-oriented 91猎奇 students to join the our student staff team for the 2025-2026 academic year!

Our student staff team play an important role in creating inclusive spaces for our 91猎奇 community, planning impactful events, and supporting the day-to-day operations of Mosaic. These paid positions offer an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, graphic design, social media, and operational & administrative support, all while contributing to Mosaic鈥檚 mission of cultural empowerment, social justice, and community building.

Each role requires a 10-15 hour weekly commitment and provides leadership development, skill-building, and meaningful community engagement. The positions begin Fall 2025.

馃挋 Cultural Programmer 鈥� Plan & host exciting events on topics related to culture, diversity, social justice, and community building (multiple positions available) | 馃敆

馃��&苍产蝉辫;SWANA Cultural Programmer 鈥� In collaboration with Mosaic鈥檚 Faculty Fellow, plan & host events related to SWANA identity, culture, history, social justice topics, and community to continue building foundation for a potential SWANA program at 91猎奇 (one position available) | 馃敆

馃摫Social Media Coordinator 鈥� Coordinate digital content on Mosaic social media platforms to promote our events, educate the community on topics related to culture & social justice, and maintain a strong presence on social media (one position available) | 馃敆

馃帹 Graphic Designer 鈥� Design flyers, stickers, merch, and other marketing materials to promote Mosaic events & services (two positions available) | 馃敆

鈿欙笍 NEW: Ops & Admin Assistant  鈥� Support Mosaic鈥檚 daily operations through tasks like email correspondence, calendar organization, and supporting event coordination. (one position available) | 馃敆

馃挱 Application FAQ 

• Who is eligible to apply for student staff positions at Mosaic? 

  • Applicants for all Mosaic student staff roles must meet the following criteria: 

    - Enrolled as a full-time 91猎奇 student.

    - Completed at least one full academic year by the start of Fall 2025.

    - Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50.

    - Good disciplinary standing.

    - Available to work at least 10 hours/week on campus.

    - Demonstrated interest and/or experience engaging with topics related to social justice, advocacy, equity, inclusion, and/or community building

    - Ability to take initiative on projects, multi-task, and problem solve.

    - Collaborative, community-centered approach to interpersonal communication and relationships. 

    There may be additional role-specific qualifications. Please read the position descriptions linked above and in the application. Work Study applicants are preferred.  

• Are these paid positions? 

  • Yes! All student staff positions are paid a minimum of $17.95/hour and are eligible for work study if applicable. Graphic Designers are paid $18.95/hour. 

• Can I apply for more than one position? 

  • It is perfectly acceptable for a page to be long, if all that content is relevant.

    Depending on the content, it might make sense to break it up into sub-pages, if the information fits that kind of heirarchical structure.

• Can I apply for more than one position? 

  • Yes! If you are interested in multiple positions, you only need to submit one application. In the form, you can indicate which position you are applying for. After completing the application for one position, you will be prompted to choose the next application you鈥檇 like to apply for. 

• How do I apply? 

  • Complete the by Friday, March 21, 2025 at 11:59PM. The application includes short-answer questions to assess your qualifications and fit for the role. 

• Do I need a resume or cover letter to apply? 

  • No. However, there is a section in the application for you to submit a resume if you鈥檇 like. It is not required. 

    We will not accept cover letters - the application is thorough and we will get to know you and your qualifications that way. 

• What happens after I submit my application? 

  • Selected candidates will be invited to a group interview by Thurs 3/27.  Interviews will take place during the week of 4/14 and/or 4/21 depending on availability of the candidates. 

• What is the time commitment for these positions? 

  • Staff are expected to work 10-15 hours/week, with the majority of staff working an average of 12 hours/week. Additional hours may be available on a week-by-week basis depending on staffing needs for events. 

    Additionally,  you must be available on-campus for the following training dates: 

    馃棑锔� Summer Staff Retreat: Aug 13-15, 2025 (Tentative) 

    馃棑锔� Winter Staff Retreat: Jan 20-21, 2026 (Tentative) 

    The trainings are paid. 

• When does the position start?

  • The first day of Fall 2025, Wed Aug 20, is the official start date. 

    However, mandatory paid staff training is on Aug 13-15, 2025. 

• Do I need prior work experience to apply? 

  • Not necessarily! There are preferred qualifications for each role, but they are not required. There are some qualifications that require specific experiences, but they do not necessarily need to be 鈥渨ork鈥� experience. See the position descriptions for additional information. 

• Can I work at Mosaic if I have another job or am involved in a student leadership role? 

  • It depends! While students can hold multiple leadership positions or jobs on campus, you should ensure that you can commit to working at Mosaic 10-15 hours/week. If you have concerns balancing commitments, we encourage you to discuss this in the application and interview process.

馃挕 Tips for a Successful Application 

• Apply using a computer, not a phone.
• Dedicate at least 30 minutes to completing your application.
• The application requires several short answer questions that are the same for all positions, as well as separate role-specific questions for the specific position you are applying for. We recommend previewing the application first and writing the questions down somewhere else so you can answer on a personal document, then copy and paste your responses when you are ready to submit. The form should autosave as you complete it, but doing this will ensure your responses don't get lost.
