RSCA in Five: Faculty Short Talks on

Community Engaged RSCA

Dear 91ÁÔÆæ Faculty,

On behalf of the Office of Research, I invite you to join us in person at our next RSCA in Five: Faculty Short Talks — Community Engaged RSCA. Faculty across disciplines are involved in community-based research, and projects that address community needs and bridge equity gaps.

Are you interested in community-based work? Curious about what your fellow Spartans are working on, and how their RSCA benefits our local and global communities? Now is your chance to hear about this exciting work in short, five-minute talks.
Our flagship research, scholarship, and creative activity (RSCA) dissemination series, hosted in person, allows us to showcase our faculty and their work, and to create space for potential research connections and future collaborations.

When: Friday, December 2, 2022 | 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: 91ÁÔÆæ Student Union, Meeting Room 3 A & B

If your RSCA explores any of the themes around community engagement, we invite you to consider presenting your work alongside your colleagues from various other 91ÁÔÆæ colleges and departments. Talks from community-based participatory research practitioners, community-action researchers, ethnographers, and others are welcome. Faculty who would like to present are asked to respond no later than Monday, November 14 to receive specific presentation details.

The session will be live-streamed for those who are unable to attend the talks in person; however, to maximize networking opportunities, we strongly encourage in-person attendance. The in-person event concludes with opportunities for general group discussions that include the audience, the presenters, and representatives from the Office of Research. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Our RSCA in Five Talks never fail to highlight the groundbreaking work of 91ÁÔÆæ faculty. We are excited to engage in lively discussion together, and I look forward to seeing you on Friday, December 2 at 10:30 a.m.

Best Regards,

Richard Mocarski
