Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting

Overview

The Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting is designed for the student with a career goal as a professional conductor and teacher, and as preparation for further advanced study. Our program is a two-year, 30-unit program, focusing on individual conducting instruction, seminar in advanced conducting, instrumental lessons, and conducting, assisting, and participation in Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, in conjunction with the important academic components of seminars music research and writing, music history, and music theory. A full-length instrumental conducting recital is required.
