Bio
Elena Klaw is a Professor of Psychology in the Clinical Division. She served as the Chair of the 91ÁÔÆæ Veterans Advisory Committee and directs the VET (Veterans Embracing Transition) Program. Dr. Klaw received her Ph.D. in Clinical and Community Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1998. After receiving her Ph.D., she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Health Care Evaluation, Veterans Affairs Palo Alto and served as an Affiliate Scholar at Stanford University's Institute for Research on Women and Gender. Dr. Klaw has published in the areas of mutual-help, mentoring, and peer education and speaks widely about issues related to gender equity, trauma, and the prevention of intimate violence.
