Civil engineers are responsible for designing and testing structures that probe the limit of knowledge. They plan, design, and supervise the construction of water supply and distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, highways, bridges, buildings, drinking water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and help solve local and regional pollution problems.
