HF/E Program wins a 2 nd 6 year accreditation from HFES!
The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) is the only organization that reviews and accredits graduate programs in Human Factors. Programs must apply for this review by submitting a comprehensive descriptive document answering many questions about the program’s design, students, faculty, labs, and other resources. The 91ÁÔÆæ program first applied for and was awarded accreditation in 2013. Now, again at the end of its first 6 year accredited period, the program has again applied for and received this important recognition and status. Of the 76 HF programs in the US, only 21 are accredited. Besides recognizing the quality of the program’s faculty, labs, and teaching program, accreditation guarantees graduates of the program receive Associate membership status with the Board of Certification of Professional Ergonomists (BCPE).
