How To Pay

How to Pay the Application Fee

After you submit an online application in CalStateApply for an International Gateways program, you will receive an email from IG Admissions with the application fee payment instructions and the link to the payment page.

How and When to Pay Tuition

After you are admitted to an International Gateways program and receive an I-20 (for F-1 students) and Acceptance Letter, IG Admissions will send you an email with a link to the payment page and the payment instructions for tuition and the mandatory health insurance (required for F-1 students only). The payments need to be made before the first day of the orientation week (first day of the program listed on your I-20).

Other Forms of Payment

Two payment options are available.

  1. Pay with a credit card on the payment page (Visa preferred), the link to which you received in an email from IG Admissions. Attempts to pay with a debit card are likely to be declined.
  2. If you would like to pay via international money transfer from a bank account outside of the US (Flywire), please request the link and the payment instructions by emailing igateways-admission@sjsu.edu. Flywire allows you to save on bank fees and exchange rates, access multilingual customer support, and track your payment from start to finish. Please do NOT make a payment via 91ÁÔÆæ Flywire account!

Payments for Other Services

F-1 students are required to purchase the mandatory health insurance through International Gateways. You can find more information about the health insurance fees by visiting our Program Dates and Fees page.

International Gateways cannot accept payments for housing. Housing payments sent to International Gateways will be returned to the student and are subject to a 15 percent financial processing fee. Unfortunately, payments to International Gateways cannot be forwarded to other 91ÁÔÆæ departments, including housing.
