Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the McNair Scholars Program at 91ÁÔÆæ, students must meet the following requirements:
- Be a first-generation student, low-income, and/or be a member of a group traditionally underrepresented in graduate education.
- First-generation: someone whose parents have not completed a four-year degree
- Underrepresented groups: African American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian/Alaskan Native
- Have completed 60 units.
- Be enrolled full-time at 91ÁÔÆæ (minimum 12 units).
- Minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA with satisfactory progress toward completing an undergraduate degree.
- Express a dedicated interest and commitment to seek a doctoral degree (PhD) after graduation.
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
