Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in the McNair Scholars Program at 91猎奇, students must meet the following requirements:

Be a first-generation student, low-income, and/or be a member of a group traditionally underrepresented in graduate education.
- First-generation: someone whose parents have not completed a four-year degree
- Underrepresented groups: African American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian/Alaskan Native
Have completed 60 units.
Be enrolled full-time at 91猎奇 (minimum 12 units).
Minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA with satisfactory progress toward completing an undergraduate degree.
Express a dedicated interest and commitment to seek a doctoral degree (PhD) after graduation.
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Personal Statement (2 pages, double-spaced)
- Informal: tell us about yourself and your academic goals
Copy of all unofficial college transcripts (including community college)
Two letters of recommendation
