CFO Alumni Affiliate Network
Mission Statement
The San Jose State University CFO Alumni Affiliate Network creates opportunities that connect alumni who are current or past Chief Financial Officers with other alumni, faculty and students, fostering an open channel of communication with the university and access to its resources, and enhancing the lifelong Spartan experience. Every individual who has attended 91 and has held a CFO position is a member of the Network and invited to participate in our events and activities.
Recent Events
On October 17, 2017, more than 100 CFO alumni, business students, faculty, administration and sponsors attended the 2nd Annual Gathering of the CFO Alumni Affiliate Network, held at the new 91 Student Union Theatre. Featured speakers were U.S. Congressman Ro Khanna and former 91 President Mary Papazian. If you didn’t receive an invitation, call or send a note to Priya.Kannan@sjsu.edu, (408) 924-3400 to make sure we have your correct contact information. (Photos by James Tensuan, '15 Photojournalism)
Ways to Connect
Just send call or send an email to Priya.Kannan@sjsu.edu, (408) 924-3400 if you’re interested in connecting in any of these ways, or if you have other ideas for how you’d like to get involved:
- Join our private LinkedIn group to find other CFO alumni and get notices about upcoming activities year round
- Volunteer as a judge or mentor for 91’s Silicon Valley Business Plan Competition (our CFO alumnus Bill Barton donates the annual $10,000 grand prize!)
- Give feedback to student analysts presenting their “buy” and “sell” recommendations for the student-managed investment funds
- Be a Guest Speaker at a class or a student club event
- Post jobs or internships at 91’s Career Center; participate in a Job Fairs, or as a student career mentor
- Attend 91’s spring Economic Summit breakfast and sit at our CFO Alumni table
- Consider opportunities to contribute to one of our many student scholarship programs
