Academic Notice

Exploratory students with an 91ÁÔÆæ GPA below 2.0 are placed on University Academic Notice. An Academic Notice hold is placed on the student's account that prevents them from registering for classes. In order to remove this hold, the Exploratory student must meet with a Student Academic Success Specialist to register for the next semester.

Raising your 91ÁÔÆæ cumulative GPA to 2.0 or above will return you to good academic standing. .

First Time Academic Notice

If this is your first time on University Academic Notice (91ÁÔÆæ Cumulative GPA is below 2.0) and are an Exploratory student, then you must meet with an Exploratory Student Academic Success Specialist. During this appointment, we will discuss your grades and progress toward good standing. 

You will receive an Academic Notice Hold on your account due to your academic standing. Meet with an Exploratory Student Academic Success Specialist to remove your hold.

Continuing Academic Notice

Exploratory students are considered "continued academic notice" if the next term's GPA is 2.0 or better, but their 91ÁÔÆæ cumulative GPA is still below 2.0. Students will stay on academic notice until they return to good academic standing ( 91ÁÔÆæ cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher).

If you're on continuing academic notice, you will receive another academic notice hold. You must meet with an Exploratory Student Academic Success Specialist to have this hold removed. During this appointment, we will discuss your grades and progress toward good standing.

Academic Disqualification

Undergraduate students on academic notice can be academically disqualified. This happens when their term GPA for a Fall or Spring semester is below 2.0 while they are on academic notice. Your transcript shows the disqualified status. If you're facing academic disqualification, meet with a Student Academic Success Specialist.
