Get Involved
There are many ways to become involved in sustainability at 91ÁÔÆæ. Consider joining one of the organizations listed below, volunteer, attend an event, listen to a podcast or apply for an internship.
The EcoReps mission is to involve a diverse group of students in educating the campus and community on environmental sustainability. Environmental Resource Center [ENVS 181]
Tuesdays and Thursdays 12-1:15pm in WSQ 115
The Environmental Resource Center (ERC) was established in 1967 and soon became the student activist wing of the Environmental Studies Department. Since the early 1970s, the ERC has served 91ÁÔÆæ with an annual Earth Day celebration, an environmental library, and other projects that promote sustainability. Students in the ERC started the campus recycling program and an alternative commute planning program that ultimately became Transportation Solutions, which is now a permanent department of Associated Students.
Campus Community Garden
In 2014, the 91ÁÔÆæ Campus Community Garden was established as a result of a student-led initiative. The garden was created to provide students a space to gain access to health food, learn about sustainable organic garden practices and earn service learning hours. The community garden is chemical free (organic) which means that they do not use any pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
