Workplace Violence Prevention Program

The Associated Students Workplace Prevention Program aims to create a safe environment by effectively managing violent or potentially violent situations. Our primary goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees.

    1. Scope: Cal/OSHA requires employers in the general industry to establish and maintain a Workplace Violence Prevention Program (WVPP) as part of their Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
    2. Requirements: Employers must identify and evaluate workplace
      violence hazards, implement measures to correct these hazards, and
      provide training to employees on workplace violence prevention. This
      includes reporting procedures for incidents, regular reviews and updates of the program, and providing immediate support to employees affected by violence.

      develop a WVPP to protect employees from workplace violence.
