Fall 2024 Frosh Live-On Requirement Suspended

With a number of classes online for Academic Year 2024-2025, the University is suspending the Frosh Live-On requirement. No frosh will be required to live on campus during the 2024-2025 academic year. Mandatory Frosh do not need to complete and submit an exemption form.


Campus Village Building 2 (CV2)

Campus Village Building 2 (CV2), is a 10 story residence hall which houses 850 students and has an open community design which is equipped with common study rooms, lounges, multi-purpose rooms, a recreation space and other student support spaces to ensure a smooth transition to college life. 


Mandatory Meal Plans

Meal Plans are mandatory for all First Time Frosh and all residents living in CV2. Housing rates will vary depending on the meal plan chosen. Meal Plans selection is part of the Housing Application process, please select your meal plan as you are completing your Housing Application. For more information on Meal Plans, please click the link below.

Amenities

Campus Village is located on the south-east corner of campus and is a short walking distance to classes and Downtown San José.  Campus Village includes the Village Market which offers pizza, coffee, ice cream, and drinks. Campus Village also offers high speed internet with wireless service in all common areas, and an on-site laundry facility. The Resident Activity Center (RAC) located in Campus Village Building B, also offers a gaming area with air hockey, ping pong, and pool. The RAC also has 4 meeting rooms, and a Computer Lab which also offers Roku boxes available for check out. We also offer a courtesy desk in CV2 during the academic year to assist you.

Typical Layout

Double & Triple occupancy rooms are designed and furnished for 2 people (for Doubles) and 3 people (for Triples). Housing rent includes basic utilities and Wi-Fi internet access. All residents of Campus Village 2 must purchase a membership meal plan.  Double occupancy rooms have one set of twin, extra long beds, which can either be bunked or separated. Triple occupancy rooms have three sets of twin, extra long beds. Two sets will be bunked and the 3rd set will be lofted. Please note that beds are not furnished with pillows, blanket, or other linen.


Floor Plans & Room Furnishings  

Double occupancy rooms are furnished with two of each of the following and Triple occupancy rooms are furnished with three of each of the following: extra long twin beds, desks, chairs, 2 dressers per resident, desk carrel with task light, 2 safety rails, 2 ladders and 2 closets. Each room includes two towel rack, wastebasket, and paper recycling bin. Floors are carpeted, and windows are furnished with blinds. 


Parking
