Fees, Payment, and Refund

Students are responsible for filing drop requests and all associated fees. Partial charges might be posted on your account depending on the drop date even though students did not make payment.

Fees are subject to change without notice.

Mandatory campus fees will be applied to matriculated 91ÁÔÆæ students. Each session will be assessed 50% ($388.00) of the summer mandatory fees.

Administrative Fee

The university has the authority to charge an administrative fee of $20 for failure to meet a due date. Payments received after the due date are subject to this charge.

Fee Receipts

You may use a printed copy from your student account to present to an employer for reimbursement or for tax reportin.

Payment of Tuition and Fees

Remember that your payment must be received by the due date – postmarks are not accepted. Failure to pay fees by th date may result in the cancellation of your class(es). Review your My91ÁÔÆæ account for the payment due date.

Refunds

Refunds can vary based on the time you drop your course. See calendar for drop deadlines. Sign up for Direct Deposit to avoid the processing fee. Refunds are not processed during the add/drop period.

Student Record Holds

San José State University has authority to withhold registration privileges for any student with an outstandin due on their account. If a Bursar hold has been placed on your records, your registration will not be processed. To resolve the debt, please call the Bursar’s Office at 408-924-1601.

Fee Disclaimer

The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts ma to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by The Board of Trustees.
