91ÁÔÆæ

Registration

91ÁÔÆæ students can register for Winter Session classes in advance using My91ÁÔÆæ. Log into your to check your registration appointment. Before enrolling in a class, you must meet any required course prerequisites. 

Web Registration for 91ÁÔÆæ students begins Wednesday, October 9 and close on Tuesday, December 17. If you missed the advance web registration period, you may register online at My91ÁÔÆæ on the first day of class with a permission number(s).

Beginning Monday, January 6, all students must use a Late Enrollment Petition form with instructor, department chair and PaCE Associate Dean signatures to register. If you need to drop a class, follow our step-by-step instructions.

 

Types of students

A Non-91ÁÔÆæ Student or A Student in Disqualified Status

Non-91ÁÔÆæ students or disqualified students can enroll in 91ÁÔÆæ courses through Open University. For more details on the registration process, please visit the Open University website

A Wait List Student

The waitlist shall be prioritized for graduating seniors who have a graduation application on file for Spring, Summer and Fall 2025; and spring 2025.

If you have been placed on the waitlist, check your My91ÁÔÆæ periodically to check your status. After you are enrolled, see calendar for payment deadline.

A Student With a Disability

Students with disabilities needing support services for classes (such as interpreting, test accommodations or note-taking) should contact the Accessible Education Center. You can call the Accessible Education Center at 408-924-6000, e-mail aec-info@sjsu.edu or visit www.sjsu.edu/aec.

Repeating a Class

First-Time Repeat
You may enroll online through your My91ÁÔÆæ from October 23 through December 1. Starting October 29, you must email the Office of the Registrar at registrar@sjsu.edu for enrollment. Include your name, ID#, 5-digit class number, subject, course number, and section number in the email. Beginning on the first day of winter instruction, a permission number will be required

Repeating for the Second Time or More
If you are repeating a class more than twice, starting October 29, submit the repeat a course more than 2 times petition. Be sure to follow all instructions.

A Graduate Student

Graduate students enrolled in an 91ÁÔÆæ graduate program can register for winter courses using their My91ÁÔÆæ account. Log into your My91ÁÔÆæ to check your registration appointment. Before enrolling in a class, check to make sure you meet any required course prerequisites. 


How to Drop?

Complete the drop process either online using your account by the posted deadline or by filing a Petition for Course Drop and submitting it to the Undergraduate Education Office electronically. Refer to the calendar to identify which drop method, what signatures are required, and whether an academic withdrawal penalty applies. Follow the steps below to drop a course. 

Step One: Refer to the calendar to identify which drop method, what signatures are required, and whether an academic withdrawal penalty applies. Leaving a course without authorization will result in a WU (F) grade.

Step Two: Drop class via My91ÁÔÆæ by the drop deadline. After the drop deadline, complete the petition for course drop. For instructions and guidelines for drop petitions, visit the Undergraduate Education Office website or email undergraduate-education@sjsu.edu. Once the petition has been submitted, it will be routed to for signatures. 

Once your form has been submitted, it will be forwarded to your professor, then the Associate Dean of PaCE, and finally the office of the registrar for final processing. 

Step Three: Financial petition  - Financial petition can only be processed when an official drop has been displayed on your My91ÁÔÆæ account.

Once your petition has been submitted, it will be forwarded to the PaCE financial petition department for processing.
