About Us

The Interdisciplinary Engineering program in the Charles Davidson College of Engineering prepares students with the skills and knowledge required for today’s existing and emerging technologies. The program offers both a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Engineering (BSIDE) and an M.S. in Engineering (MSE) degree. These programs provide students with flexible curriculum that is truly interdisciplinary and not available through other engineering programs in the college.

Prospective Students

If you are interested in a much broader view of engineering than the traditional engineering majors and the opportunity to work with other engineers across different disciplines as well as working with non-engineers, then Interdisciplinary Engineering might be your calling.

Undergraduate Programs

Students should review the Interdisciplinary Engineering curriculum for their catalog year.  Determine the elective courses required to meet their engineering career goals.  Make an appointment with an IDE major advisor regarding major course requirements and an ESSC advisor for General Education course assistance.

Graduate Programs

Students should review information available for current MSE students that include MSE program course requirements, study proposal and candidacy forms and MSE academic advising.  Included are FAQs.
