BSIDE with Business Minor

For a general BS IDE program description visit  Program Overview page.

On this page, we show how a BSIDE student can include a Business Minor in their 4-year study plan. Business Minor requires the following courses:

  • BUS1 20N Survey of Accounting
  • BUS3 160 Fundamentals of Management and Organization Behavior
  • Three (9 units) business courses. Out of the 9 units, 6 units can be lower-division units.

The official description of the Business Minor can be found in .

Note that since a Business Minor is offered by the College of Business, you should make an appointment with a Business advisor and submit a Business Minor form for their approval. Once approved, include the courses on your Major Course Proposal form prior to meeting with an IDE advisor.

Below are two examples of using IDE electives to meet Business Minor requirements. Students may take other business courses instead of the ones listed below and should be aware they may be required to complete prerequisites for some courses.  Both examples are based on the 2020-2021 catalog.
