BSIDE Pre-law Track

BSIDE students interested in pursuing a career in law related to intellectual property or patent development may consider the sample roadmap below using the IDE Breadth electives. The total number of units for this plan is 121.

Breadth Electives:

  • ENGR 130 Introduction to Intellectual Property for Engineers (Recommended)
  • ENGR 131 Introduction to Patents for Engineers (Recommended)
  • ENGL 107 Professional Technical Writing (Recommended)
  • ECON 141 Law and Economics (Recommended)

A minor in β€œInnovation and Law” is currently under development by the Interdisciplinary Engineering Program.

Technical Electives:
