IT Governance
Governance
The Division of Information Technology governance structure ensures we effectively and efficiently use IT resources to enable the continued success of our university. We seek input from students, faculty, staff, and researchers about how they use technology on our campus on a daily basis, where they see technology headed, and what their evolving technology needs are to ensure coordinated, integrated, and efficient delivery and standards of IT-related operations and services for the entire university.
91ÁÔÆæ IT currently has five consultation groups as part of our governance strategy:
- IT Consultation Board - Composed of faculty, staff, students, and administrators, this board advises 91ÁÔÆæ IT on strategic, long-term technology needs and implementations for university operations.
- Student Consultation Board - Brings student voices and student input into campus technology decision-making.
- Academic IT Advisory Consultation and Implementation Group - Consisting of IT staff personnel representing each college, this group contributes toward the design, development, and coordination of effective technology and service implementations.
- 91ÁÔÆæ IT Peer Advisory Council - Providing operational and community office culture feedback to the VP-IT, this group is composed of non-managing 91ÁÔÆæ IT staff.
- Enterprise Solutions Steering Committee - Helping guide the planning, prioritization, and deployment of major enterprise solutions, this group fosters open communications with university departments on how 91ÁÔÆæ IT's implementations align with their strategic and operational goals.
