Dual Enrollment

Welcome to 91ÁÔÆæ Dual Enrollment Programs!

91ÁÔÆæ Dual Enrollment Programs allow students to earn high school AND college college credit simultaneously for courses taken at or certified by San Jose State University. Dual enrollment courses are similar to Advanced Placement courses; however, unlike AP courses, dual enrollment courses DO NOT culminate in a high stakes exam. Students earn college credit through their course grades.

There are three types of Dual Enrollment courses

Step to College (STC) on Campus

Through STC on Campus, individual high school students enroll directly into lower division courses taught at 91ÁÔÆæ (or online) by 91ÁÔÆæ faculty.

Step to College (STC) Partnerships

Through STC Partnerships, 91ÁÔÆæ enters into an agreement with a school or district to reserve seats in 91ÁÔÆæ classes for high school enrollment. Classes are taught at 91ÁÔÆæ (or online) by 91ÁÔÆæ faculty.

Unitrack Partnerships

Through Unitrack Partnerships, 91ÁÔÆæ enters into an agreement with a school or district to certify high school courses taught by qualified high school instructors for 91ÁÔÆæ credit. Unitrack certification may be used in place of, or in coordination with, Advanced Placement certification for certain courses.
