PE Requirement Exceptions

If you're an undergraduate student at 91ÁÔÆæ and still need 1–2 activity units to meet the PE requirement (University Policy S14-11 [pdf]), you may:

  • Substitution: Request to substitute a PE activity course not currently listed as PE.
  • Waiver: Apply for a waiver due to documented extenuating circumstances that prevent you from completing the requirement.
  • Challenge: Demonstrate your skills and knowledge to fulfill 1 or 2 units.

For details on how to challenge a course, contact Dr. Seung Ho Chang at seungho.chang@sjsu.edu.
