International Student Advising (ISA)
ISA provides focused support for our international students on all immigration advising to our F and J visa holders. ISA is here to support you here at San Jose State University. The ISA site has information on the visa interview process, tips for your arrival and videos and welcome messages from faculty and students at 91ÁÔÆæ.
San José State's is a comprehensive center providing both students and employees with accommodations and services. The AEC works closely with faculty, staff, programs and departments to deliver services and promote access for students with disabilities in the classroom and throughout the campus.
International House is a co-ed residence for 70 U.S. and International students attending San Jose State University. The House is located within a short walk of the 91ÁÔÆæ campus and is a large, comfortable home with friendly interaction among students of many cultures.
International Student Health Insurance
The CSU requires all international students to purchase health insurance through the university provider as a condition of registration and continued enrollment.
International students may apply and qualify for merit-based scholarships. Need-based scholarships are part of Financial Aid and are not available to international students.
International Gateways offers academic and TOEFL preparation courses on the San José State University campus to help international students develop the English skills necessary for admission to American colleges and universities.
Transfer Success Pathway
Transfer Success Pathway (TSP) is a program that began with the high school graduating
class of 2023 and provides a dual admission opportunity for eligible first-time, first-year
students enrolling in California Community Colleges who commit to transferring to
a California State University (CSU) within three years. The program is designed to
increase access to the CSU for students who have faced academic, financial, or personal
hardships that previously prevented them from attending.
