Conditional Classification refers to your admission standing at 91猎奇 and means that you have not satisfied all the required conditions for admission. The GAPE office provides you a letter which specifies the conditions being placed on your admission. You are not allowed to take more than 12 units of graduate courses until the conditions are satisfied. After you have satisfied all of the required conditions, you will need to fill out a Change of Classification in Graduate Program form [pdf] [pdf] and submit to your Graduate Program Advisor to change your status.

Classified status indicates that you have satisfied all of the conditions of admission.

Conditional admission requires that your conditions are satisfied. If you have any prior coursework that might be similar and/or have any questions about your conditions, please contact your program advisor to receive guidance.

Yes, it is currently called MS in Quality Assurance, but there is plan to rename it to MS in Engineering Technology in the near future.

You may obtain the Candidacy form from the GAPE forms site.

You will need to be in classified status in your program, have earned at least 9 units of letter-graded courses, have fulfilled the GWAR, and be in good standing to file your advancement to candidacy petition. 

You will need to file a Request for Course Substitution to substitute a core or an elective course listed on the candidacy form. You can find this online request under Forms on the GAPE website.

Internship work during the Fall and Spring semesters is limited to 20 hours per week maximum for international students via the Curricular Practical Training (CPT) program. Full-time work hours are possible while on CPT during the summer term. If you have completed all your program coursework except your culminating experience, talk to an ISSS advisor to see if you are eligible for and interested in early option post-OPT or pre-OPT.

Full-time work for international students on CPT is allowed during the summer term. You can also work on campus during that time of the year if your schedule allows. Check with an ISSS advisor if you have specific circumstances to consult on.

Your culminating experience is a at the graduate level. A Culminating Experience Form is required by the university to show that you have met the necessary skills to obtain an MS degree. The form is processed by the graduate advisor after you have passed the Project or Thesis course successfully and your final report has been approved by your graduate committee.
