YouTube Video Settings and Captioning
YouTube provides automatic captions for your uploaded videos. Because they are automatically generated, the captions will contain mistakes. To adhere to accessibility standards, you must edit the captions. See below for how to:

YouTube is one of the Google Apps that comes with your 91ÁÔÆæ Google account. There are two different ways to access your 91ÁÔÆæ YouTube account.
Option 1: Enter youtube.com in any browser.
Click the "Sign In" button at the upper right corner.
Enter your 91ÁÔÆæ email address in the email box then click the "Sign In" button.
Use your 91ÁÔÆæ ID and password to login to your 91ÁÔÆæ YouTube account.
Option 2: After you login to your 91ÁÔÆæ email, calendar or Google docs/drive account, follow these instructions:
Go to the Google Apps nine dot menu (or waffle menu) on the top right [1] and scroll down to YouTube [2].

- Uploading a Video

Click the "Create" button in the top right corner [1]. Follow instructions to set up your YouTube Channel if you do not have one. YouTube requires you to create a channel to upload videos.
Either drag and drop your video to upload it or select the "Select Files" button to upload your video to YouTube [2].
As your video file is being uploaded, enter title, description, tags, privacy settings and category information for your video. This information will increase the searching capability or search engine optimization of your video.

- By default, you can upload 15 minute or 2 GB file size videos although you are able to upload longer or larger video files if you verify your account. Visit YouTube's help page for steps on how to verify your account.

- To View and Edit the Captions

Go to your YouTube Studio and select "Content".
- Select the video by clicking on the thumbnail (which is the image viewers will see before clicking on your video).
- Select "Subtitles" on the right side of the screen [1].
- Edit the captions [2] and click "Done" [3].

- Click the three dot menu at the top of the window [2].
- Select "Download Subtitles".

- How to Share your Videos

Each video file has a unique web address or URL. To share your video with others:
- Go to YouTube Studio.
- Select the "Content" menu on the left of the screen [1].
- Select the three dot menu below the title of the video. If you don't see it, hover below the title of the video and it will appear [2].
- Select "Get Shareable Link". The link will be copied to your clipboard [3].
- Paste the link in an email, an assignment, or anywhere you'd like to share it. To
adhere to accessibility standards, use descriptive text, so it's clear what the link goes to. First, type the title of the video, then highlight
it and link it. The process is similar in most software.

- To Keep the Video Private or Unlisted

Private means you'll have to invite people to view your video by entering their email addresses.
Unlisted is recommended as it won't be searchable on YouTube, but will be easily accessible for those who have the link.
To change the settings:
- Go to the "Content: menu of your YouTube Studio [1], locate the column heading entitled "visibility."
- Use the drop down menu to select "Private", "Unlisted" or "Public" [2].
- Click save in the lower right corner.
